I began my career in financial services at the age of 19, joining Bradford & Bingley Building Society. I quickly qualified and became one of the youngest advisers in the main Bradford branch. That role marked the start of what has now been a career spanning over 30 years in the industry.
Throughout that time, I’ve worked on both sides of the fence, as a financial adviser and as a Business Development Manager, where I was responsible for educating advisers on pensions, investments, and protection products. I also spent a decade running my own recruitment business, headhunting high-net-worth professionals for life companies and IFAs across the UK.
After being diagnosed with cancer and taking time out of work, I made a conscious decision to find a firm that shared my values and where I could truly make a difference. I joined Cameron James in November 2024, and in all my years in the industry, I’ve never worked for a company so genuinely transparent and committed to doing exactly what it promises.
