I am originally from Spain but started my career in Brussels at the Global Financial Services team of Agilent Technologies (spin off Hewlett Packard). After 6 years holding different positions in finance, I moved to Dubai to work in Management Consulting and Venture Capital. As a strategy consultant, I worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, defining strategy solutions for clients in the Middle East, like the Ministry of Finance of Egypt.
Since I wanted to specialize in finance, I took the offer to work as an Associate VP of Investments in a Venture Capital Fund, a subsidiary of Dubai World. My experience in emerging markets also extends to South Africa, where I worked as CFO for a tech startup company.
I hold a 5-year university degree in Economics and Finance from a top private university in Spain, studying my last year in Austria. Because of my international exposure, I speak German and French. I am bilingual in Spanish and English.
After gaining six years of experience with Agilent, I pursued my MBA at ESADE Barcelona, a program ranked in the top 20 by the Financial Times. Working for a venture capital fund in Dubai made me realise the significance of accredited qualifications in finance. Motivated by this realisation, I embarked on the journey to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which I have successfully achieved.
I joined Cameron as an Independent Financial Advisor almost two years ago, and am rapidly building my client base and assets under management. Serving clients in the UK, EU, US, with UK pension transfer advice, retirement planning, portfolio management and rigorous Cashflow planning.
In Cameron James, I excel in delivering holistic financial planning and advice to clients, by capitalising on my in-depth knowledge about financial markets and products together with my experience of delivering solutions to clients. Sound financial advice to clients and good outcomes for clients are my guiding compass.
