Nathaniel Jacobs
Career Journey
I was raised in Beverley, a charming market town in East Yorkshire. After completing my GCSEs at Beverley Grammar School, I progressed to A Levels at Wyke 6th Form College, laying the groundwork for my future academic and professional pursuits.
In 2020, I graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a BA in Accounting and Finance, a course accredited by ICAEW ACA. This program offered me a comprehensive education across various fields, including International Business Finance, Personal Taxation, and Financial Management, each contributing significantly to my foundational knowledge and sparking my interest in the intricacies of finance.
Upon completing my degree, I seized an opportunity to work at a local financial advisory firm, where I was fortunate to be mentored by the firm’s director and founder. Under his guidance, I gained a holistic understanding of the business, from administrative tasks to paraplanning and advising, while managing assets worth £150 million. This period was instrumental in shaping my approach to financial planning and deepening my knowledge.
My commitment to excellence in financial planning led me to pursue and achieve a Level 4 Qualification in financial planning. Through this rigorous educational journey, I immersed myself in the study of pensions, investments, and protection, with a particular focus on IHT (Inheritance Tax) mitigation strategies. This specialisation enabled me to explore innovative methods to help clients safeguard their wealth and minimise tax liabilities effectively.
Financial planning, to me, is much more than a career; it’s a vocation that allows me to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. I am passionate about coaching and assisting individuals in achieving their financial goals through honest, transparent guidance. Empowering my clients to confidently navigate their financial challenges is not just my job, it’s my commitment to making a positive impact in their lives
